Meet Farrah: Marketing Manager – Bringing the BC SoftWear Brand to Life

In this edition of our Meet the Team series, we’re spotlighting someone whose work touches every corner of the BC SoftWear brand. Since joining in 2023, Marketing Manager Farrah Ahmed has brought creativity, clarity and momentum to how we communicate with customers across the globe. Her role is fast‑paced, hands‑on and wonderfully varied — just the way she likes it.

A Dynamic Role at the Heart of the Brand

“As Marketing Manager, I oversee all things brand, communications and campaigns. The marketing team is responsible for shaping how BC SoftWear is seen across every touchpoint. If you see something out and about that mentions BC SoftWear, it almost certainly started with us.”

From email marketing and social media to website content, trade shows and product‑launch materials, Farrah’s team ensures the brand is consistent, compelling and customer‑focused.

“I also work closely with our sales team to ensure the messaging we put out aligns with customer needs and the latest market trends. It’s a real mix of strategy and creativity, which is what I love most about it.”

A Day That Never Looks the Same

“Every day’s different – one moment I might be planning an upcoming promotion, the next I might be reviewing campaign data, planning a photoshoot to show off our latest product launch or creating artwork for our customers.”

Farrah thrives in a collaborative, multi‑project environment.

“There’s a lot of collaboration involved in my role, so I’m constantly switching between creative and commercial thinking. I thrive on that fast-paced, multi-project environment; I’m at my best when I am at my busiest.”

What She Loves Most About BC SoftWear

“It’s a combination of the people and the product. We’re a small, dedicated team that genuinely cares about what we do; I think that really shows. I also love working with such a luxury product range. It makes storytelling so much more powerful when you truly believe in the quality behind it.”

If She Could Switch Jobs for a Day…

“I’d switch roles with one of our sales team I think, just for the experience of being out with customers. It would be fascinating to hear client feedback in real time and get a feel for how our products land in person. I’d get to see how our marketing translates directly into conversions too. Plus I’d love the chance to visit some of the beautiful spas and hotels we work with – purely for research, of course!”

Three Words to Describe the Culture

“Driven, collaborative and down-to-earth.”

A Few Fun Facts

Favourite childhood pastime: “I was always drawing, painting or doing something creative. I could lose hours sketching or making things. It’s probably what sparked my love for anything visual, which carries through into the work I do now for BC SoftWear.”

Superpower of choice: “Teleportation, 100 per cent. The ability to skip traffic or avoid airport queues and be somewhere sunny and warm in an instant would be ideal.”

Go‑to comfort food: “Cheesy, thick-crust pizza. The kind that’s dripping with mozzarella and could never be eaten politely.”

BC SoftWear mascot: “A luxury-loving sloth in a spa robe!”

Weirdest thing on her desk: “A 1kg bag of chia seeds. I bought them with the best intentions (I read something about them being great for my gut health), but now they mostly just sit there, silently judging me.”

Most out‑of‑character moment: “I once left my phone at home on purpose. Just to see what it felt like. For a while it was peaceful, then I kept reaching for it like a phantom limb. I won’t be doing that again any time soon!”
