In the latest instalment of our "Meet the Team" series, we're stepping into the warehouse to catch up with Mark – our long-standing Warehouse Manager, resident problem-solver, and all-round team player.

Mark has been with BC SoftWear for over 11 years, and it’s fair to say he knows every corner of the warehouse like the back of his hand.

“I think it’s safe to say I know my way around the place pretty well by now!” he laughs – and after more than a decade, we’d agree.

A Day in Mark’s Work Boots

Mark’s days start with a Red Bull or a good cuppa, followed by a check-in with the team. From there? Anything goes.

“I’m literally all over the place.”

Whether he’s coordinating stock, managing deliveries, packing products, or firefighting the odd curveball, no two days are ever the same.

“You never know what a day’s going to throw at you, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’ve got a great team behind me, so whatever comes up we always make it work – and have a good laugh along the way.”

Fancy Being the Boss for a Day?

If Mark could switch roles for a day, he’d love to trade places with Barbara, our MD.

“Mostly just to see how long I could get away with making some highly questionable executive decisions before anyone noticed!”

“I’d probably spend the day nodding a lot and spouting confident-sounding phrases like ‘let’s circle back on that’.”

(Don’t worry Barbara – we know you’re the real deal.)

A Decade of Memories

One of Mark’s standout moments? Celebrating his 10-year anniversary at BC SoftWear.

“It was great to reflect on a decade of work and see just how much has changed.”

But it’s not just the big milestones that matter.

“Really, it’s the small day-to-day moments – like the team pulling together to meet a big order – that stick with me. And the laughs. I’ve got enough stories to fill a book!”

A Bit More About Mark

• Favourite childhood pastime? Football with his mates. A passion that’s still with him today – even if he’s not on the pitch quite as often.

• Something most people don’t know? He loves cooking.

“I’m not about to quit my day job, but I do enjoy experimenting in the kitchen. I’ve even mastered a few dishes that don’t get complaints from my family!”
